Our Special Projects team was instructed to provide Civil and Structural Engineering services at this private dwelling in Yardley Gobion.
The scheme comprised a single storey side and rear extension and internal alterations, and external works within the rear garden area.
Complex below ground steelwork and foundation works were required to retain an existing feature well which was located within the proposed kitchen area. Sequencing of works proved to be a key challenge on this project, working around the existing structure whilst maintaining the structural integrity of the well, and temporary works designs provided by JPP ensured the works were completed safely and efficiently.
The Architectural design and structural works completed have transformed this home into a beautiful living space for our Client.
